The Project Factory

Because we believe in the capacity of collective intelligence to generate the best projects and in the power of this bid to unite all of the island's cultural players around it, Bastia Corsica 2028 has decided to carry out a broad consultation from December 2021: the Project Factory.

This Factory takes the form of several workshop sessions aimed at mobilising all the island's dynamic forces in order to define the contours of the cultural project of the Bastia-Corsica bid.

The Bastia-Corsica 2028 bid supported by the Project Factory workshops

The beginnings of the concept of the Bastia-Corsica 2028 bid were carried by the workshops of the Project Factory #1 which were held from 3 to 6 December 2021 between Corte, Sartène and Bastia.

The major challenges of the bid were identified: mobilising young people, linking culture and heritage, promoting the power of action and influence of Bastia and Corsica, and of our polys, and bringing art and culture into the daily lives of the population.

The art and culture are vectors of social integration and individual and collective emancipation in Corsica, in Europe and in the world.

The guidelines of the #2 project factory This joint work led to new workshops in Bastia, Pieve, Santa-Reparata di Balagna, Ajaccio, Olmi Capella, Porto-Vecchio and Corte, from May to October 2022, which allowed us to deepen our thoughts and define our bid project. The Bastia Corsica 2028 bid project must structure an innovative and sustainable action An original model of social development through art and culture.

The island's cultural substratum and the experiences of existing cultural structures, festivals and associations serve as a basis for identifying and expanding good practices.

Inspiring experiences conducted in Europe, by cities having obtained the label of European Capital, or being close to it, but also by other cities and regions which will be partners of Bastia-Corsica, are so many potential points of exchange between Corsican and international artists to prepare the future.
