Vannina Bernard-Leoni appointed project manager of Bastia-Corsica 2028

The president of the Bastia-Corsica 2028 association, Pierre Savelli, has appointed Vannina Bernard-Leoni as project manager to take over from Muriel Peretti, who is returning to her duties in Rome.

Vannina Bernard-Leoni will take up her post as soon as possible to bring Bastia's bid to a successful conclusion alongside Pierre Lungheretti, the general commissioner, and the Bastia-Corsica 2028 team, which has been strengthened in recent months with the arrival of Céline Fornali and Francesca Albertini, respectively in charge of events and administration.

For more than a year, the Bastia-Corsica 2028 team and its partners have been working tirelessly to put together the bid file that will be submitted on 2 January 2023.

Vannina Bernard-Leoni was born and raised in Bastia. She has a degree in Italian and a diploma in social sciences. She left Paris and teaching to return to Corsica 12 years ago. From 2010 to 2016, she directed the Foundation of the University of Corsica, where she brought together the academic and economic worlds through numerous projects linked to territorial development; then director of the University's Innovation and Development Unit, she created and developed a third-party space at the Palazzu Naziunale, which combines a FabLab, a business incubator, workshops and residences for creation and experimentation. Also an author and editor, she contributes to numerous adventures in the field of creation and reflection in Corsica.
