Through its language, its musical and vocal forms, its architecture and its popular traditions, Corsica's unique cultural substratum links it to the Mediterranean. This "sea of the interior" is a shared world, within which Corsica occupies a strategic position, heir to a history marked by conquests, struggles and successive migrations.
The Bastia Corsica 2028 bid is an opportunity to reveal and develop this heritage in a dialogue between tradition and modernity, in conjunction with several countries with which the island has long-standing relations or cultural ties: Italy, Spain, Greece, the other Mediterranean islands, the countries of the southern shore, etc.
What singular projects should be built that make sense and bring the shores together?
What institutional links could be created, revived, extended?
In a geostrategic context where the Mediterranean area is the object of all the attention of the French and European authorities, what role can Corsica play?
What threads should be woven with the other islands of the Mediterranean basin?
How can we think about tomorrow in the Mediterranean and imagine the future?
